HOW TO MAKE KOREAN WORDS - MOST BASIC KOREAN WORDS AND ITS PRONUNCIATION


Korean words can be made by arranging it in 1,2,3,4 manner as mentioned in my last post.
Now you know that how to arrange Korean letters into proper word if you read my last post. Yet you might have lot of doubts about words arrangement. Don't worry I will clear your doubts..I guess you are keen to know how to arrange letters in Korean. I know the rules about how to create Korean words but I don't know how to create. I think this is your first doubt. I don't know you may get many doubts if you have any don't hesitate to comment me. I will make sure to reply to your comments within a week.

1. Vowels Placement in a word
  
Step 1 :            ㅣ ,ㅏ , ㅓ -->  These three vowels will have following formats and occupies spot " 2 " as it is a vowel it will always occupies spot " 2 "


|    1 2    |    1 2    |    1 2   | 
|       3    |    3 4    |            | 


Step 2 :      ㅡ , ㅜ , ㅗ  --> These are the vowels that has to be placed in the following formats. As it is a vowel it will always occupies in the " 2 " spot.

|     2     |      2     |     2      |       2       |
|            |      3     |     3      |     3  4     |
|            |             |     4      |                |


This is the table that shows how to create  basic words.
In this same way you can create any words just practice it while you study


     

Then finally I will some words to practice 

사람       = person       =  saram
책           = book          =  chaeg
컴퓨터   = computer   = kompyuto
나무       = tree            = namu
소파       = sofa           = sopa
중국       = China         = jung-kuk
일본       = Japan         = ilbon
문           = door           = mun
의사       = doctor        = uisa

LEARN MORE LETTERS CREATED FROM THE BASIC KOREAN LETTERS


As you must have studied basic letters in Korean language so now i am going to teach how to create new words from existing one. It is easy to create those words just follow the instructions below. 

Here some letters will have same pronunciation so i will teach you in pronunciation section in my later post. 


ㄱ - k


      ㄲ - In this by writing two k's we get a new pronunciation 'kk' by writing one after the other.

      ㅋ - In this same k is written one below the other and this gives new pronunciation 'k' which is of slightly similar pronunciation as k. 


ㅂ - b

      ㅃ - this letter is pronounced as 'bb' this letter has little lengthening in sound. 

       ㅍ - this letter is pronounced as 'p' the letter is evolved from the letter 'b'


ㅈ - j

      ㅉ - this letter is pronounced as ' jj '. A little lengthening in sound

       ㅊ -  this letter is pronounced as ' ch '

ㄷ - d

       ㄸ - this is pronounced as ' dd ' 

        ㅌ - this letter is pronounced as ' t '

ㅅ - s

        ㅆ - this letter is pronounced as ' ss '


Then there are letter created by combination of vowels too. Just see those words and their pronunciations below.

ㅜ + ㅣ = ㅟ = wi 
ㅜ + ㅓ = ㅝ = wo
ㅗ + ㅣ = ㅚ = oe
ㅗ + ㅏ = ㅘ = wa 
ㅡ + ㅣ = ㅢ = ui 
ㅕ + ㅣ = ㅖ = ye


Some basic Korean words to be learned is shown here. 

앉다    = to sit
읽다    = to read
없다    = to not have
닭        = chicken
긁다    = to scratch

See all the words existing  in Korean language after creating new from the existing one.

ㅐ = ae (identical to ㅔ)     
ㅔ = e   (identical to ㅐ)               
ㅟ = wi 
ㅝ = wo    
ㅚ = oe       
ㅘ = wa      
ㅢ =ui         
ㅙ = wae      
ㅒ= yae 
ㅞ = we

First study all these letters fully then only you can proceed further in learning Korean language

HOW TO ARRANGE WORDS IN KOREAN LANGUAGE


Korean language can be word creation is different from normal language. Here you have to arrange in a specific order in order to make it a word. The following are the ways Korean language is arranged.



    FIRST    SECOND       THIRD      FORTH      FIFTH     SIXTH

Here
   1. --> any consonants
   2. --> any vowels
   3. --> any consonants or special character
   4. --> any consonants or special character

Here 2---> always be an vowel


Example :

FIRST :
강 = kang   
감 = kam

SECOND :
닭 = dalk  ---> meaning = "chicken"
읽 = ilk

THIRD :
는 = non

FORTH :

FIFTH :
다 = da

SIXTH :
긁 = keulk

SEVENTH :
호 = ho


In this way we create a Korean words

Some  examples of basic Korean words is given below.


한국   ( hankuk )    = Korea 
도시   ( dosi )         = city 
이름   ( irom )        = name 
저       ( ja )             = I 
나       ( na )            = I 
남자   ( namja )      = man 
여자   ( yoja )         = woman

Try writing these words so that you can learn korean easily..!!!!

LEARN BASIC LETTERS OF KOREAN LANGUAGE



The basic Korean words will be following letters. This language is quite easy to learn if you study daily.

Korean language has two things :

  1. Korean consonants
  2. Korean vowels

1. Korean consonants :


ㅂ= b
ㅈ= j
ㄷ= d
ㄱ= k
ㅅ= s
ㅁ= m
ㄴ= n
ㅎ= h
ㄹ= r/l


2. Korean Vowels



ㅣ= i
ㅏ= a
ㅓ= eo 
ㅡ= eu
ㅜ= u
ㅗ= o


There is also one special character here

ㅇ-->This word has two meanings

1. This character is silent when it is in the first position of the word.
eg. 안 = an

2. "ng" if it appears to be in the last of the word.
eg. 강 = kang

These are the basic Korean words that we need to memorize in-order to learn basic Korean language. 

Just try to read and write these words as of today. In the next post I will teach you how to create new words with these basic words
